Kerpoof!

Monday, April 21, 2008

This week we're going to start using a brilliant new online art and design site called Kerpoof.

It's completely free - so you can use it anywhere with a connection to the web - and here's a quick summary of what you can do there:

  • Make artwork (even if you aren't good at drawing!)
  • Make an animated movie (really! it's easy!)
  • Make a printed card, t-shirt, or mug
  • Tell a story
  • Make a drawing
  • Vote on the movies, stories, and drawings that other people have made
Take a look! Next week we'll be launching an online art competition for homework (so get practising!)

Changing Sounds - our next science topic

Saturday, February 16, 2008

After the half term break, our new science topic is 'Changing Sounds'. We'll be exploring how sounds are made, how they can be changed and how we hear them. Lots of the topic will be hands-on with musical instruments, and in DT we're going to build our own!

Below are some good websites you might want to have a look at over the holiday, if you're able to. Also, you can start to think about what kind of instrument you might like to design and build - and how!
